Age Limit (as on 01-01-2024)

  • Minimum Age limit for all Candidates : 18 Years
  • Maximum Age Limit for OM/SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC/IB/OBC/EWS/Government Service/Contractual Employment Candidates : 28 Years (candidates should be born between 01-01-1996 to 01-01-2006)
  • Maximum Age Limit for In-Service Police Personnel Candidates : 30 Years (candidates should be born between 01-01-1994 to 01-01-2006)
  • Maximum Age Limit for SPOS and Volunteer Home Guards (VHGs) Candidates : 40 Years (candidates should be born between 01-01-1984 to 01-01-2006)
  • Every Ex-Servicemen having served in the Armed Forces shall be allowed to deduct the period of such Service from his Actual Age and if the Resultant Age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than 3 years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding Age Limit : Candidate should not be born after 01-01-2006

Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Males:

  • Height: 5-6″ (minimum)
  • Chest girth: 32″ (unexpanded)
  • Chest girth: 33 ½ ” (expanded)

For Females:

  • Height: 52″ (minimum)

Relaxation in Physical Standard :

  • For the candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe, the minimum Height shall
    be relaxable by 2″.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

For Male candidates:

  • Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 ½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
  • Pushups: 20 (one cycle of up and down to be counted as one)

For Female candidates:

  • Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 ½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
  • Shot Put (4Kgs): 14 ½ feet in three attempts.
